So many in the Greenwood community volunteered their time and energy to make this park a reality.
After a short few years of fundraising, in 2010 the memorial was dedicated.
You can still contribute...through direct donations, purchasing a memorial brick,
or at times, participating in the Chance Auction during Community Day. This year the auction is supporting the Save the History Museum Building Fund. Why? The memorial owes a big thank you to the American Legion for their donation to support the maintenance of the park for 2023. That means the auction can serve another community organization in need.
But, please take a walk through the memorial when you visit Greenwood, participate in the Memorial Day tributes, and of course spend some time there during Community Day.
